What do you think about the end of Mentalist last night? Does it bother you that Jane actually murdered Red John? Yes, he got his revenge....but is that the character that we wanted for Jane, or did we want Red John to die in a shoot out, or for Jane to realize he wouldn't become like Red John and take him in for prosecution and to find out the members of his secret society?

He murdered him once before, remember? Of course that wasn't really Red John. I wish they hadn't made such a big deal of that whole Red John thing. I was satisfied with the regular crime-solving each week. Just like the on again/off again romance with those other two. Did you realize that she was pregnant in real life? That's why she was always at her desk.

There's a reason I never watched soap operas. I like Cho, although they seem to be making him loosen up. I saw him smile recently. They'd better watch that or they'll lose their audience. :D

Doesn't bother me. Just glad they finally got rid of the Red John character - I got tired of him a long time ago. Besides Jane supposedly killed him off a few seasons back but turned out to have been someone else. Will be interesting to see what the show develops into. I wonder if any of the other people will continue on. If not, I will miss Lisbon and Cho.

Why would I be kidding? He IS a murderer. This would never have happened 40-50 years ago. Ethic and morals have changed. I want to point that out.

I don't understand the double post, I just did an edit. I know that's right, because this has wilikioti's quote.

I think the writers have created for Jane a character like Professor Marietta in Sherlock Holmes stories that just wont go away. I liked it best when they just solved crimes. - Dave

You surprise me, MIke. Tell me, would you have killed him or turned him in?

Well in-as-much as we are speaking of a character in a fictional detective story..... it is not a problem morally or any other way...

In that aspect, I believe the Man should be dead and that Jane had every right to be the one to do it.....

Sorry......

Mike....it's murder. We have the rule of law in this country, and it doesn't include taking the law into your own hands, and if you'll recall, one of the Commandments is, Thou Shalt Not Kill.

Less we not forget the lady that attacked Jane inside the church escaped when the police arrived(she walked right pass them) and Red John asked Jane several times if he wanted to know how he knew about "the list". I belive one of the members on the team was working with Red John, maybe just maybe......
