this is cropped from the mid-section of a sunset pic then stretched to 12000 by 14000

Here are my two favorites out of what must be thousands I have dating way back. These two sunsets occurred on back to back days on the 4th and 5th days after Mount St. Helens erupted and the ash in the air reached us here in Colorado causing the atmosphere to react this way to the setting sun - the mountain in the scene is Mt. Evans, just west of Denver. I've posted these before but without explanation.

Mt. Evans is just over 14,000 ft elevation and this was taken a block from our house at 10,000 ft on Conifer Mountain
