A Bit of History - A Brave Young American Spitfire Pilot

Well worth a look if you are into aviation history, WWII or even a look at early aviation filming.
This young guy flew undefended, no guns into wartime Germany with just a couple of cameras.

Love the film and all of its history. Its wonderful to see that there are quite of few people still interested in preserving the past and the hero's who made it that way.

Pleased you enjoyed it.
I wasn't aware that the USAF had flown Spitfires. My wife's uncle was a Spitfire Pilot and always claimed he'd heard they'd been in use by the American forces but couldn't remember where.
Now we know.

Thanks SO much for this link, I'm a WW11 aviation buff and my dad was in the Army Air Force stationed on Saipan during the same time period as this wonderful film was taking place. The reaction of the gentleman filmed landing is quite priceless, Again thank you very much for this gem!
