Recently purchased Lightroom and CS 5 I have created a watermark/copyright & saved it as a user preset.
1 How do I apply it to all images already in my catalogs and categories?
2 What is the difference between the Catalog & Categories?
3 Where can I learn about the most easy & efficent workflow techniques and practices?
Thanks in advance.

1. select all your images and use the spray can
2. catalog is what you store all your images in, you sure you don't be collections - which are groupings from your catalog. Ex - I do a catalog each year and will do a collection from the catalog of all my lighthouse shots
3. Their is not one given workflow but check out Scott Kelby site great tutorials or all aspects of photography, lightroom and photoshop.

great book about Lightroom is Nat Coalson"s "Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3 - Streamlining your digital workflow process" Avaialable on Amazon.com. I had it rebound as Nat said in the book intro as a spiral bound book.

I would not watermark/copyright y
all your pictures in LR. I only apply the watermark when I export the picture. You never know when someone would want to use the picture in an article etc and need a non-watermarked phicture

Agreed. I frequently export 2 versions, one with and one without watermark.
