Perfect interpretation of light, textures, and industrial subject matter. I love these all.

Right nice, all. My ayes are with the eyes.
I would L*O*V*E to go with you there with my film gear. I have actually operated a sheet metal shop and have some distinct foreground/background ideas in mind...
However I am not in the least critical of your excellent metering, sharpness and detail! Nice images!

My memories of a jog shop is hurry up, faster and do it for less money and don't make a mistake. They were gritty places for the most part. But to be fair for machine shops to stay in business that almost had to be that way as completion of jobs was fierce. Glad to be out of that environment.

My brother specializes more in custom, one-off work for some of the larger industries in the area. He uses mostly older but high quality machines that have tolerances down to 1/10,000th inch, better than most modern machines. He is a genius with CAD and does a lot of design work for these industries also, then builds the parts. He has 3-4 good machinists who seem to like working for him.

that is similar to the kind of work I liked. I spent 23 years as a model maker for Kenner toys before Hasbro bought it and shut it down. So before and after that time I was in job shops. Your brothers place sounds great to me. I contracted out to one place for several months doing similar work until that ran out. But my days at Kenner was my best times working.

Love your interpretation in 1 & 2. No.3 could have used a little side light on the bottom left side of the lathe to delineate the lathe from the background. But otherwise and excellent shot.

Haha, don't know about the "real man" bit, but thanks for the nice comment.
