Bad Fan Behavior

I was watching the Saints-Falcons game last night. I saw a couple of people standing on the sidelines carrying signs that said Report Bad Fan Behavior, Text Dome to whatever the number was. I had never seen this before. I wondered if this is common to all NFL games or specific to different stadiums that feel it is necessary.

More of the nanny-state mentality. Encourage elementary school behavior by crying about what other people are doing. "I'm telling my mom, if you don't quit cheering so loud!"

Well you got a bunch of coon asses from Louisiana mixed in with a bunch of Georgia rednecks. What could possibly go wrong? Before the hate mail starts flowing in I have friends from both states. It's just terms of affection down here.

There are some people that ruin the games for me. That's one reason I don't go to falcons games - well, the fact that tickets are so expensive has a lot to do with it, too. Braves games are much more civilized but you still have the jerks in the stands CONSTANTLY berating opposing players.

It's really when foul language starts to come out that I pipe up and ask the people to watch their mouths because I have my kids with me. That usually doesn't work so I then find an usher and have them deal with the jerks. Luckily that doesn't happen that often at braves games but falcons games have gotten so unruly that it isn't generally considered a family-friendly environment. They are trying to change that stigma but it ain't working.

They also have that statement about texting to DOME to report bad fan behavior on the soda cups.

You forgot to mention mass consumption of alcohol being a factor. But at the prices they charge for a beer at Turner field it's expensive to get a buzz. Never been to a Falcon's game but I'm sure it's the same. Most baseball stadiums cut off sales of alcohol at the end of the 7th inning I believe but not sure about football.

I took my kids to eat at the 755 club one day during a hot Sunday afternoon. Boy that was a mistake! $15 hot dogs!! We drank water.

Why would anyone to a game??? Better coverage on the tv, you don't have a line to the bathroom, your car is still in the garage, the pizza guy brings you the WHOLE pizza, drinks are on the house, and...you can tape the whole thing for later and watch Duck Dynasty instead!!

There is just something magical about seeing a game in person. Being there to see Kimbrel notch a save or Chipper hit a walk off homer after coming from behind 6 or 8 runs. You just don't get that sitting in front of the TV.

 I'll be at the Bama/Auburn game next week. Probably not in the stadium but outside with a comfortable lawn chair, a cooler, an open tent, and a dish connected to a 60" flat screen. And ribs and wings. Our site is close enough to hit the stadium with a rock. Ticket prices are out the roof this year since Auburn somehow keeps finding a way to win. Roll Tide! And yes, sometimes it comes down to just being there.

I was at the Colts/Seahawks game. Nobody with signs, but they did flash it across the jumbotrons a few times, and announced before the game started..."report bad behavior to:XXXXX".

You have common sense and are capable of deciding when someone needs to be dealth with, why do they need to have someone with a sign telling people to do it?
