Hi, My name is Britney and I have been a nurse for 7 years! I have always enjoyed photography but only recently persued it as a possible profession. I have 4 children who keep me pretty busy. Any input or advice to help enhance my photos would be greatly appreciated! I have taken a few photography classes but I find just experiementing is the best way for me to learn! I use a Sony a290. I look forward to learning and chatting with everyone in the forum :-D

I am like you were about five years ago, just starting to understand what it's all about. I took a couple of classes and when they explained f stops, i would go huuuuh.
Any way you have four great subjects. Take them to the park and let them play and take a bunch of pictures. Don't say something like "Mommy's going to take a picture, smile. Just candid shots and get down to their level.
I found a site on google "camera sim" That explained f stops so even I could understand.
