I think this is a very powerful portrait. She seems very self assured in her stance and gaze. I like the shadows as it gives the face depth. The only thing I don't like, and I think it is nit-picking, is that the foliage from the tree in the background seems to be coming out of her head. I don't think that it in any way ruins the photo; and that is the one slightly negative aspect of this very good portrait as far as I can tell.
