Hi Ugger's...I'm reviewing some of the thousands of photos I've taken...this one seem so surreal to me...only added a soft cartoon effect...tell me your thoughts on this.

I like the effect, a lot. I would like it better if he was flying into the photo, rather than out of the photo, but that's just me...

I think if you could(PS) add some space to the right of the seagull and crop out the left side, it would be more interesting. Good image but with images like this, or a race car or surfer, you want them entering the frame, not exiting, IMO:-}
I like it very much.
The only thing that I perhaps would do differently is to have the open, blank space in front of the seagull rather than behind it. Maybe.

It's very pretty, wish I could see it in more detail (download). I know compositional wisdom says the bird is supposed to be flying into the frame, not out of it, but as presented it made me think of song lyrics, "I'm leavin', on a jet plane, don't know when I'll be back again."
Nicely worked image, I looks ilk it was heavily cropped?

Would prefer just a bit more detail in the right wing ..... just too much white space there are the moment. I love the idea though.
First, let me thank all of you who took the time to view and comment on this piece...I appreciate each of them.
Any of you who is familiar with my work, know I usually swim against the stream, so to speak, when it comes to my art. Each image I take is as if it were a painting (will show you some of my paintings), the viewfinder is my primary brush and if needed, detailing and creativity is available with software. Art should be as free as the very subject in this photo, no boundaries with the artist releasing the piece only when there is nothing left for the artist to convey. This piece is a semi-mystical with tonalities of surrealism. The position of the airspace is intentional and metaphoric. The Journey, is in essence my journey...the longer trail of space is a representation of my past history, this piece is about where I've been NOT where I'm going. This I hope sheds light on why the air position of the subject, so did I revolt against conventional general counsel regarding the position of the seagull in the airspace?.....Yes....Will I conform and change it......absolutely Not.
Again, thank you All !
Below some of my artwork....

Your explanation makes a LOT of sense, eye art! One reason to love this forum is the banter that goes back and forth between artists that helps us better understand why certain "rules" are meant to be broken. Yours is an excellent example of that. I really like your artwork. Especially #2-
Thank you LLucas...I don't always have specific reason for doing something but in this case I did...thanks for understanding my logic.
