Pretty and interesting subject. Next time you may wish to place your subject off center for a usually more pleasing composition. Your focus could have been more precise on the eyes and adjacent areas. Thanks for the post. 8-)
It looks like you did several different selections - one on the duck's head, and a different one (or two?) on the ducks body to set it apart from the water. Unfortunately, those sharper areas are immediately discernible, and look "processed". If you could feather or blur the edges, you'd have a much more natural looking photo.
Interesting subject - I've never seen that duck before, nor even heard of its name. You've got uniqueness working for you.
An interesting looking duck, but a funny unnatural angle for me. I feel like I am sitting in a tree looking down. The exposure seems to be spot on, but the focus is not on the eyes where it should be in my opinion. I think the image could be helped by a little more room in front of the duck.
I think the focus might be just fine. The blur looks more like it just pulled its head out of the water - note the water droplets. In the download version enlarged, you can see the droplets appear to be moving.
