rocket launch this evening

for those on the east coast from Northern Fla to Maine and to the west some there is a rocket launch from wallops island VA. at 7:30 pm if weather is good. they say it should be seen if clear in your area.

Cool...wish I weren't in MO. I had the chance to see STS-102 12 1/2 years ago while visiting my parents. It was the only launch I've ever seen and was a picture-perfect dawn departure. The sight and sound were spectacular. Took video and photos. Worth getting up at 2 AM and driving from Venice to the Cape!

We also watched a shuttle night launch from the causeway.
We drove from Sarasota, getting up at midnight. Bloody camcorder wouldn't focus (no manual focus). Kept hunting.
My daughter took some shots with my OM10, but all I had was a 50mm, so the images are pretty small.

Here it is. Sorry it took so long to find. The pic was scanned on my Epson printer and this is how it turned out.
