Everything in the shop, the signs, the jewelry, the clothing leads my eye to this beautiful (may I say sensual?) woman. You have captured her perfectly, Graham. I truly love this one.

I think there is a lot going on in this photo...all the price signs are quite distracting...would like to see her much closer up...my eyes keep going in a circle around her to take in all the detail

Well, here is my attempt at a crop...but in doing so, it made me see the original photo in a totally different way...the crop is OK but the original photo is much better...I don't see the woman as the main subject any longer...given the expression on her face she has become just another of the display stands for the necklaces...and it's all the interesting detail in the photo that appeals to me.

You see, she's lost in her boring hum drum retail world, trapped in the prison of day to day life, and if you bring her to the front you lose exactly what she is lost in. You have to look closely to see the beautiful woman in there. That's what it's all about.

Gosh, Graham...I hope I'm right about this, or you'll be laughing your head off at me for my romantic view of this. :-)

It's like Cinderella. You wouldn't take her out of her piles of laundry and buckets of ashes, would you?

Why doesn't this story telling come to me when I"m out taking my own pics.

You are absolutely correct in what you see, or more precisely, what I wanted to convey. Crop in close and the story is gone, showing her in her environment defines what she is, why she is there and perhaps the reason for her expression. Let your imagination run riot :-)

Thanks Memphis, I like to try to show, in my street pictures, the environment to explain why the subject is there, in this case a trader in one of the famous London street markets.

I kind of got the feeling things were going to fall off on her head. Lee
