Interesting side by side. I like how the ripples in the snow mimic the ripples in the water.

Rudolf, you should do one of those gradient layers in elements. Layer one on top of the other, and have one tree in the golden side, and the other tree in the rosy side.

Tried it and did not come out well, sorry. Both pictures were taken in portrait mode and it needed a wider transitional band.
