An interview with DavidT

1) How long have you been into photography and what got you started?
I've been doing photography for about 40 years...off and on starting with B&W 35mm film.

2) Have you had any formal training and what kind of photography do you do most?
No formal training. These days, I love close-up/macro photography.

3) What inspired you to take your winning shot?
I was trying out my new camera with a macro lens in my garden when I saw the droplet that looked interesting. At first, I didn't even see the thin spider web attached to it.

4) What equipment did you use and was there any special setup?
Panasonic Lumix GX7 with Pan/Leica 45mm f2.8 macro lens (90mm equivalent).

5) Would you change anything if you could do it again?
No.

6) If you couldn't do photography what else would you do?

7) Is there somewhere we can see more of your work?

An interview with

1) How long have you been into photography and what got you started?
During WW2 my father was stationed in Wales. He left my mother with a camera--which she used to photograph their baby (me) on a daily basis--- I still have the camera-- learned to use it very early and was soon given one of my own. The SLR I got for a birthday present followed me to college. It was my husband who gave me my first macro-type lens-- When digital came along, I embraced it fully--still loving macro options!

2) Have you had any formal training and what kind of photography do you do most?
no formal training-- many workshops and lots of reading-- and trial and error--

3) What inspired you to take your winning shot?
the wining shot was one of many of the cosmos in my garden-- I used photoshop to finish the image.

4) What equipment did you use and was there any special setup?
That image was made with a Nikon d800 and a tamron 180mm lens. no special set up

5) Would you change anything if you could do it again?
no, I would not change that particular shot.

6) If you couldn't do photography what else would you do?
Cry!

7) Is there somewhere we can see more of your work?
