Thank you for 1 calling me a young man (17 days till i turn 50 and can join AARP) 2 handsome. You put a smile on my face for the day. But now I have an irresistable urge for donuts.

You impress me as being a person who'd know what to do with a nice spread of pasta too, huh? If I was fifty right now I'd be doing stuff that would have ensured that I would never have reached the age I am now, seventy five. I've got kids older than you. What ARE you doing in Florida. I moved to St. Pete when I was fifty two, where over 25% of the population is over 65 and I felt like a young kid. I had to get out of there though 'cause the stores don't carry much but them adult diapers. That and after only about 50,000 each of heron and egret pictures, I was having a hard time seeing anything I wanted to photograph.

Never been a fan of Krispy Kremes, they all taste the same just different shapes. Coffee with cream and or sugar is for people who really don't like coffee. That's my line and I'm stickin' to it.

I'm busy packing... there are no Krispy Kreme donut shops in New Hampshire and I don't like Dunkin' Donuts. We have lots of Maple syrup tho.

Hey S-man, my parents lived in Vero for almost 25 years after they moved down there from the Philly suburbs where I grew up. Off Rt 60 near Dodgertown. (in fact, my brother and older sister ended up there sooner or later too..) I liked visiting, lots of nice golf courses around, Humiston Beach, etc etc. They moved to Port St Lucie where my older sister is now, about 5 years ago when Dad got too ill to keep the house maintained. Dad passed away in '08 at 89, Mom's still going strong at 86. When we first got there, the area around Rt 60 had nothing, but then that big Super Walmart went up and all the rest. Haven't been there since '03.

Oh my gosh this gave me a flash back to my childhood. My mom used to wrap the rolls or donuts in foil and put them in a iron skillet heat before microwaves. :)

Sinatraman, here is something to make you glad you are where you are as well as a reminder of what you are missing.

BTW-I've never had a Krispy Kreme, but they do look good.

So are those two shots, Yooper. I can't say that you made ME homesick for MI but we too had maples in AR, which I miss, with all the yellow aspen here in CO.

I really was hesitant about doing that donut shot but I'm glad I did. It seems to have brought out some good pictures and brought some like-minded people together on a happy note. That's a good thing.

Honestly, they fry those things? It's like fried butter.

Love the shots, the tree really made me miss the northern fall as well.
