Possible to find big primes for sports shooting?

Does anyone know of a site that might have used prime lenses for sale. I know about B&H, Adorama and KEH but I'm wondering if there are any sites that a pro might use to sell their used lenses. I'd love to buy a new one but I know I can't afford that. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

Craig's list on occasion. I don't think there is any site that specializes in selling lenses for just professionals. You find them here at times also.

Why does it have to be a site that specializes in lenses from professionals? A good lens is a good lens. I don't care who owned it prior to me as long as it is what I am looking for.

My second question is what do you consider a "big prime" lens? I rarely see anything 500mm and up for sale. You will find 300mm and 400mm at times.

Can't afford is the key factor. I too am looking for a 500mm Nikkor, but unless I find one on a park bench, I'll just keep cropping and using my teleconverter.

The price of large primes does not go down. Put one on ebay or Craig's List for a low price and you will need to add memory to your computer or recharge your cell phone every hour. You are not alone in your search.

You might want to look at the Sigma 500mm. There was no way I could get the Canon 500mm and would guess the Nikkor is the same way but got the Sigma for less than half the cost of Canon. I have been very pleased with it!

Coach, what lens, exactly, are you looking for?
