I have a large Kaiser Pro Ball Head with a complete Northstar Quick Release system* For Sale for $150.00 plus shipping within the U.S.
This entire system along with a Gitzo G320 tripod was what I used until I decided to go lighter and sold a Nikon 500mm and other stuff. The Northstar QR was designed in the Northwest and is still the best system i have ever seen. Unfortunately, the owner/designer died and so did the company. It employs a captive pin that fits into the specially designed plates and even if you for get to clamp everything down, your camera can not fall off. Or you could put on your own QR. I am asking $150.00 plus shipping in the U.S. This is a great buy.
This includes several different specialized plates, one does the same thing as the fancy Mongoose for big lenses.

Sorry about the confusion.
$160.00 for the ball head and all the plates plus shipping. Shipping via UPS ground will be about $19.63 to NY. I just called the UPS store and asked about what a 6 lb package to NY would cost.
My direct email is rbh10@comcast.net
Thanks for asking,
Raleigh

Please let me know what you want to do. i am thinking of listing it on Craig's List and that would do away with shipping. If it helps, I'll lower the price to $150. plus shipping in the US.
There are six different plates and one is function like a Mongoose head for big lenses.

i wish i lived in the bikini state! is that CA? FL? where?

Thanks,
Raleigh

It's a processes that's good for the brain.
My wife and I were just talking about moving to the Daytona Beach area. Perhaps we will visit the area during Christmas 2014. I gather there is much to photograph in the area. is that true?
Have fun,
Raleigh

Between the night life of Miami, the Everglades and in between, you would have much to chose from for photo's.
