Well captured but I would crop out the runner.
Hello kjfishman,
Why? Because she is a distraction? To me she is part of the moment in that street. I shoot street life. I'm not looking for cute pictures of a little boy and a street entertainer. I'm looking for action, reaction, humour, pathos, incongruity. And just plain interest.
I do hope I haven't come over a bit strong but I can't find another way to explain my pictures :-)

I'm with you, Graham. The jogger is a part of the scene, a strong contrast to the little boy. He's taken in by the Headless Man, she is bent on maintaining her pace and burning those calories.

Leave the jogger as she is SO out of context. It is the little boy's fascination combined with the jogger being oblivious that makes the image, IMO.
Love it.
Its probably going to surprise you Graham because I want the extra people taken out of the other gritty image but for this one, I agree, the jogger stays.
Cap sums it up perfectly, the out of context, the two characters both in their own world, probably not even seeing each other as more than a blur.
I would be tempted to crop the right side back to the boys shadow head to give the jogger more life, faster.
Super image!
Think "Studium and Punctum"

I gree w/ Captain; the boy's rapt fixation is in absolute contrast to the girl's apparent total lack of awareness of the man with the "high hat".

I really think this is a fun shot.
I love that the jogger is blurred and seems so unaware of the scene unfolding right in front of her. I didn't look at the feet barely touching the ground until you mentioned it. The feet tell me that the world is moving all around us and the woman tells me that we miss a lot of it because we aren't paying attention.
Even though I can't see his face, the little boy is in a hurry to get to something that amazes him.
Love looking at your images!!
