Need instructional info on printing on flagstone.
Last weekend I was at an art show and saw an older fellow with images printed on flagstone. He said he printed directly on them and started giving me some instructions. But the instructions were very vague and confusing. Has anyone done this? If so, could you give me definite and unconfusing instructions? I Googled it and got nothing.

Several months ago, someone posted a link with directions. This time I saved the link. This looks like an interesting project.
Hey, thanks, guys. I knew someone here would know. Has anyone tried it?

More than instructions what you need is the machine. You can get a less pricy one from China for only $3,900:

For those interested - the links above actually got me to a google search instead of an actual website. But I clicked on a few of the suggestions and found that Lasertrans has made a printable paper that works. I had good success with Lasertrans in the past, so I think I'll try this method. Now all I have to do is find the paper! But I'm sure that's the easy part.
Oh, and if any of you are interested, there's a medium that you use to coat the stone and then you can print on it just like you would paper from an enlarger. If I can find that medium, I'll try that just because I love doing stuff in the darkroom.

Every time I tried to load 50 sheets of flagstone into my Epson, I broke the paper tray....

That's because you didn't soak the flagstone in water to soften it:)

Oh, I thought you had to soak the printer. Guess I got that one wrong. It seems appropriate because I get soaked every time I buy ink.
