Late afternoon at the Grand Canyon, using VC seems to capture the true colors. Magnificent views, you could shoot here everyday and never get the same pic twice
Beautiful pictures. I like the colors in number 3 best but all are great.
Snecko I have a suggestion for you. Make up your mind that you are going to go to the Grand Canyon and then GO! I have been a few times, always love it and always get different pictures. Just do it. You will be happy you did. Don't forget your camera.
Oh, how I would LOVE to go and see it (and photograph it) for myself! So breathtakingly beautiful!
Thanks for looking Snecko! Dennis is right, just DO it!! It will be the trip of a lifetime! It was beyond my wildest imagination, the views are endless
i have been there several times and you are correct, the colors are always different. looks like you had nice weather, color is great.
Thanks Dusty! The weather was great, we had a very cold night and I had the whole canyon to myself after the sun went down, it was truly a time of reflection and gaining perspective on life...

Thanks for looking Dennis! This was my first trip, I will definitely go again!! I used two different cameras, got very different results, loved using the VC option to really bring out the colors.
(Sigh!) I wish! I couldn't withstand the rigours of travel. Body refuses to snap back into youthful adventurous mode. (More heavy sighs!) 😳☺️

Thanks for posting and your pics are very good and bring back a lot of memories. I was there years ago before the advent of digital cameras. I was there in late April and the views and the colors were amazing. I set up my camera and tripod for three mornings and evenings and every shot was different even at same exact time of day. The last evening when I was there, it snowed. What a blessing that was to be able to add that color in to the photographs.

Thanks for the lovely comments dragon64! I was hoping for snow, it was very cold the first day, but no snow. I'm glad it brought back pleasant memories for you... next time I'll have snow pics!

Nice set Karla. What wonderful memories you've captured. Reminds me of the times I have been there, and like, was always amazed. You captured the beauty in a way to remember for a long, long time.

You are so welcome! The shots reminded me of my first grand canyon visit; I was 4, and was playing in the snow with my mother. My father captured that picture just as a sunbreak exposed a glowing red canyon in the background, with snow falling lightly. I hadn't thought of that day so many years ago - your wonderful pictures brought a sigh, nay a tear to my eye. Thank you. :)
