Here is Beautiful Suzie........
The pixilation?? in the second one does her no justice and really detracts from her as the subject. Makes me want to look at her hand, not her.

Thanks Singing Swan for your opinion and taking the time to give it. I ran a filter on it to get that texture going, then took it off the subject. I wasn't sure how this one would be received, but it's good to get other photographer's opinions. Thanks again.

There's something about the light in the first shot that almost makes "Suzie" look like she's floating. I'm also wondering whether you have a little too much empty space on the right. I seem to recall something about more formal portraits having the farthest eye on the center line (bear in mind that I'm not a portrait photographer, so I may be way off on this). Other than that, I think it's quite good.
Second one doesn't quite work for me.
Third is quite nice.
Lately, I've been evaluating photos by whether I would buy it. If it doesn't pass the "purchase" test for some reason, then I have to figure out why. If I were Suzie, I'd buy the third one.

Thanks Vicki for voicing your opinion and making your comments. Suzie doesn't have to buy anything, I am giving all the photos to her parents for being such good people.

Vicki, I have to agree with you on everything.

I have to agree with Vicki, and I think that Suzie looks a tad uncomfortable in no 1.

This comes from her position. Had she used her hands to support herself against the horizontal trunk she would not have been so stiff.
The whole impression you have come from there: Misuse of the hands. The slit skirt does not help her either to look comfortable, she slips and she flashes...
The safety pin she uses in picture two has obviously failed!!!
The sun set is supposed to come from the right so why is it showing through the branches in picture #3?
Weird

Good points on everything you have said. And Just FYI: She just came from the beach and was wearing a bathing suit under the skirt. No one else would know this but me!

I had a remote flash going off on the right side. Yes, it is weird and I am still learning so I appreciate all the CC coments that you give. It brings everything to my attention what I need to think about in the future. So, thanks for your comments!

To much information? But you want to know the truth don't you?
I know, I know, you didn't want to know that she was wearing a bathing suit under there did you? lol
