My Epson R2400 is giving up the ghost and I am thinking of getting a new printer. I need A+ size capability (13x19) so choices are limited---and expensive.

I am considering another Epson, the R3000, which has a $250 rebate right now.

Any other suggestions out there?

Thanks

Take a look at the Canon Pixma Pro-100. On sale right now at B&H for $399, plus you get a free pack of 13x19 glossy paper as a bonus. And Canon has a $300 rebate for the package deal. Can't beat $99 for a printer, ink and paper!

Adorama has the same deal.

I'm using the Canon Pro 9000 Mark 2 with excellent results. I think the Pro 100 is an update to mine.

I had an Epson 13x19 capable printer. I forget which model it was. After about 18months the printer head went south. When I brought it to the attention of an Epson rep at a show, he said: "Yeah, that happens!" Nice answer, I thought and bought a Canon. It works better than the Epson did and it seems to last pretty well. It does, however, use a lot of ink. With ten ink cartriges, that gets expensive.

I have been using the Pro Canon 9000 Mark 2 . Am satisfied with prints although it is a little slow . Relatively affordable but the inks are always a killer .

I recently killed my Epson R1900 after 4 hard years of use. I replaced it with the Epson R3000. I called Epson and they had me join their "Loyalty Program". I got a really good discount and the rebate. The ink costs went up dramatically compared to the R1900, but Epson says the R3000 will yield 50% more prints. I really loved the print quality of the R1900. The print colors are outstanding on the R3000 and I'm more than pleased with the results.

I second that recommendation. LOVE mine!! Have had it a few weeks. Got it from B&H with that $300 rebate. WHAT a deal! May get another one as a backup before the rebate ends in Dec.

Canon Pro 100 from B&H with 300.00 rebate if you use American Express Reward card. So your cost is only 99.00 with free shipping. Ink is a little spendy. Bee

You do not have to use the AX reward card to purchase. Your rebate comes on the AX reward card.

Careful with that. Canon only allows one rebate per household. I did it by sending one from B&H to my home, and one from Adorama to my camera shop, that worked well.

Sorry, I was trying to figure out the AER card to get the rebate. When I paid they sent the rebate form and it showed I think that I had to pay with AER which I didn't. I paid with Pay Pal. so wasn't able to get the rebate. Bee

Hmmmmm.....haven't received my rebate yet but it's only been a few weeks. I followed the instructions EXACTLY. I'd better get it!
