I've always used Nikon cameras; however, I don't see myself as an "experienced" photographer as in "professional." I enjoy the results of my picture-taking. I have had some art training, so I always try to use balance, composition and contrast, when "setting up" my subjects. Sometimes I take too long, and my subject has flown away! Have never used a SLR camera - changing lenses has always seemed to scare me. I use a Nikon Coolpix S210 right now. I know, it's old, but so far, it's served me well.

Hello Carol, and another welcome to UHH. I just joined a few weeks back, and I have had a wonderful experience here. There is some terrific advice to be gained from the regulars, so don't be afraid to ask.
Enjoy!

I am amazed at the wonderful welcome I've received. Thank you so much for making me feel comfortable. I see that everyone has made note of their location, but I guess I skipped that one upon registration. I'm in Boynton Beach FL.

Thanks. So welcoming of you. Much appreciated.

Here's one of my cats. They ( I have 3) are my principle subjects. I cropped him out of a larger photo. Taken with my Nikon Coolpix S210.
