I am so excited... I love Sony... Just got the Sony HX300, I am so in love !!
I really love my bigger cameras. But this is an awesome camera to have lots of fun taking pictures with and not worry about being so serious...does that make sense. ???? And the ZOOM...oh my it's AWESOME!!!

Sure does make sense. That's what I'm experiencing since switching to the SX-50. I do it for fun now and with that camera, one certainly can have fun. Enjoy your new Sony... that's what it's all about.

I too love my Sonys. Have had four of them and was so impressed with the quality of the pictures. I bought them all from Adorama and I am impressed with their help and service. I now have the new Sony RX10 on preorder from them. Can't wait for the brown truck to stop at my house.

Yep, makes sense to me too! I have only had my SX50 a couple of days, but I spent a very pleasant couple of hours in a local park yesterday, taking shots my old P&S couldn't have *dreamed* of... That lens can really reach out and 'touch someone'!
