A very close call

1. Here a happy little bee is gathering nectar.

That's good!
Did you know what was going on when you were taking the shots? or did you figure it out after looking at the images?

I had taken a bunch of shots of a lady bug on a plant awhile back and it wasn't until after reviewing the pictures at home, that I notices a bigger insect looking right at the lady bug in the same shot.

I watched as the wasp stalked the little one. That is why I changed the focus in the second shot to the wasp. I actually was shooting honey bees on the plant next to this one when I saw the drama unfold. The little one flew off just as the wasp make its move.

Sometimes I get so entranced with the subject I loose sight of everything around me. Time stands still....
It's like meditating. I can get totally lost in time while focusing my attention on just that one thing.

Talk about pictures being able to tell a story, this series is the definition of that. Great shots and titles

I am with you. There is something very Zen about photography for me.

I have been very fortunate to be able to capture some of life's drama with the camera. I have some others that have a story that I will have to type out. I'll see if I can find them :)
