The color version looks much better to me. It's fun to play with effects but that geometric textured one might not be the best choice for a cute little girl. She is adorable, really cute photo.

What I was trying to do and didn't work, was to somehow make it into a pattern so i could use this in cross stitch, but i'm still a first grader and will have to study this a bit more. I've read it could be done, maybe by next xmas. lol

Well that makes perfect sense then. I'm sure there is a way to do it. Someone else here probably knows how if you ask. She would be a wonderful cross stitch subject, so cute!

Emily is adorable, woman44004, but the B&W doesn't do her justice; color is beautiful!

Looks like the pixels size was set low when it was cropped.
To test the idea, try looking at the adjust menu and go to size. Lower the horizontal and vertical size to a low amount and the results will be the jagged edge of large pixels or color blocks on the screen. (Don't save it or you may overwrite the original *.jpeg image. The idea could produce some far out stuff. Test it!
For the little girl, I like the second one best. :)

Might I try? Believe what you were intending to do is pixelate the image. If you allow, would be more than willing to attempt and share with you.

I know not what others may think, but I find that girl's visage to be downright scarey!

Now c'mon...scary? Looks like a little one deep in thought, or upset at being caught. "What...who me?"

She is beautiful even when she is fussing. Keep these photos too. In time they will be a lasting treasure for you and her and her children.

Very nice clear shots. :)

Have you tried googling cross stitch software? I had one years ago and it turned pictures into graphs quite easily. Just suggesting...... :). It may be easier then trying to pixelate this image.

May you find the answer. She would make a lovely cross stitch and give you much joy whilst doing.
