When you buy a new car you take it out to a deserted stretch of highway, put the peddle to the metal and see what it'll do. Same with a camera. Bought a new little Canon PowerShot SX160IS, 16 Mega Pixels, 16x optical zoom, (about the size of a pack of cigarettes) at WalMart, drove on over to Rural King to buy some mouse poison, and when I got back in the truck I stuck the camera out the window, cranked the zoom all the way past 16X optical to its max digital (27x) digital zoom and clicked the shutter on a couple of coils of field drain tubing... way out across the parking lot. Supposed to have HD video too. That remains to be seen. Now if I can just keep from ruining the view screen, like I did with my more-bigger camera, by cleaning it with something I'm not supposed to...
