I tried zooming out during a long exposure. Please critique. I would like to know if this technique is worth pursuing.

I usually like things dark and against dark backgrounds, you have interesting balance, so compositionally it's simple - which is good, however, for me, the zoom technique you used looks like a 'shined light' on the bigger image and doesn't add anything to your 'story' so, for me, it doesn't work.

I would have loved this without the zooming technique. It might work on a different shot, but I don't think it helps on this one.
Interesting shot, although I'm bothered by the missing reflection below and the brightness of the smaller image. How about a vertical with the tonal range more restricted.
