Was down at the bridge and tried a few shots and picked this one first to post.
Clarity wise its nice. To me its just lacking sustance, something to be the cente of attention. Just my .02 cents worth.
The clarity was a issue and I thought there was a turtle in the photo but it was just the end of a branch once I downloaded it for a closer look.
The IQ is good but did the gator swim away?
Thought there was a turtle there but it was only a limb .
basic shot was for comments on clarity n sharpness
Umm, its a scrubby ugly mess.

how about this one then
Nice colour, nice detail but doesn't have a pleasing composition.
That's a great flat field blue though.
perhaps this will reflect a better response

I'm a hard taskmaster dooragdragon.
Its a snapshot.
Is this the sort of shot that you bought this lens for?
I don't think it would be.
These are all shots that you could take with a e.g. 50mm or a 200mm.
Look for a 400-500mm shot.
Thats what you really bought it for. Isn't it?
I will say one thing though.
That styrofoam cup is very soft.
A lot of noise, blown and possible slight movement blur.
working on focus, sharpness taking a few simple photos and waiting for the so called long shots , had the 150-500 on camera and in car so was just mostly experimenting with it

or this maybe.
Mind you, I'm a novice myself.
I think you've done well with focus and exposure where there is no sky.
The two hay field shots look good. Even your reflection previously posted looks clear.
Don't forget to meter the correct way when shooting into the sky. The military plane shot is blurry and blown out. I shoot at the sky quite a lot. I've found that if I meter a tree or the grass and then recompose to shoot whatever I'm shooting at in the sky, I get better exposures for my subject. The sky may still blow out. If I meter the sky, my subject may blow out.
I usually do some test shots when I go out so that I know where my settings should me for that shot I really want.
I envy you for this lens. It's on my wish list.
Thank you, It was a 1 shot chance to shoot the helicopter and i didn't think it would come out good .
