Ugly Dragon.

OK, this is the first one of these that I have shot, usually the Dragons that I find have a cute little face with their nose in the middle, this guy has a dark ugly face with his nose on the top of his face... very different, usually see these guys flying low near the grass and have never found one to be still enough to shoot, this guy is half dead as he got stuck inside the pool enclosure and probably has not eaten for a while.

Anyway, not pretty but a good look at his compound eyes.

A good focus-stack subject?

The straight on image was manually stacked in Photoshop using two images, the other two images are single images, pretty much little to no cropping in any of them, the two extreme close ups are a reversed 35mm on a 26mm tube and the other pic is reversed 35mm no tubes.

I don't think that I will ever get into focus stacking gazillians of images, I think that I am destined to remain old school.

Stay old school, you have some of the best shots here.

Even though I did not use it that often I think that I will always miss that 180mm.
Thanks for the comment.
