Using a Canon EOS 40D for the first time (have only used point and shoot previously), at dusk, moving target, not my best shots but the best I could do before I lost the light. I was thrilled to get this opportunity!

Very nice Karla, I also enjoyed your flowers from the canyon. I think the first shot is of thistle seeds and the second is what is known as a corn flower around here. The elk are beautiful, nicely done

Thank you Lois for the comment and for the information on the flowers. I'm amazed at the variety of flowers I've seen out West, they're all so uniquely beautiful. It will take me a lifetime to learn what they all are but such a worthy endeavor! I've now got 2 under my belt, thanks to you :-)
