Here's another pic I am planning to submit to camera club for evaluation. I'd appreciate input on how to improve it. If possible please modify it to show me what you mean visually. Thank you.

Wonderful colors, tones and textures. I hope it's not my eyes, but I think the focus could be sharper.

I cropped this, but none of the other changes tried made a positive difference. Here is the cropped but otherwise unchanged photo.

I agree that is better! I have a bunch of them so can pixel peep to check the focus and if necessary sharpen some. I used a relatively slow shutter speed to get the water movement and it was handheld so even with VR it's more likely camera movement than focus, though. No way to fix that fully but I can give Topaz In-focus a go.

MtnMan, my comment wont be any help in improving this image but I think the shutter speed, I don't know what it was as there is no Exif, was too slow. If it had been faster it would have made the the water more "jewel like" and sharper. Others might say a slower speed to soften the water but I think if it were frozen and sharper it would sparkle. I think there is also an issue with the focus, or is it camera shake?

Yes, it was taken at 1/50s with the lens at 125mm. Although VR was on I find I need at least the lens mm if not twice it to have the pic tack sharp.

I checked the others and they were not better and did not have as much water coming up. I think this goes into the reject pile.

Thanks, all.
