When we got our rescue dog 'Maddie' we were surprised she was even alive. Lots of medication and love and visits to the Vet were in order.
This dog, probably abused and certainly abandoned is the most gentle obedient dog you could hope for.
Our rescue dog now has a 'Home' for life and is a constant treasure to us. I can't sit on the couch without her coming up and snuggling and nudging my arm for scratching. I get gentle nudges from the side of the bed each morning letting me know she has to go out. She's still taking medication for the terrible mange she had but one more test to verify it's gone.

The face of a loved companion
What a wonderful loving face there, how could anyone abuse such a lovely animal as that ?
I have read and seen articles where convicts are allowed to train and care for abused /unwanted animals and these people treat them with so much love and kindness compared to a person that is not locked up with some of the worst class of people to walk the face of this earth.
Maybe we have the wrong ones locked up huh.

In Fort Myers, the Lee County Humane has a policy of 'never putting an animal down.' They also use prisoners to host animals that need extra care outside of the 'foster care hosts'

Thank you for giving her a home and the much needed care. She is a beautiful girl!! One thing about rescues is that they know they've been saved and are very grateful for it. My dog and most of my cats have come from either the pound or a local rescue group.
Please give her a big hug and kiss for me!!
