The sad part is I don't know if she was serious or satire.
I hope this was just a spoof and meant to mock moonlighters.
It doesn't sound like any professional photographer I know.

Yesterday I kudnt spell fertogafer and today I is wun. Stupid people like this are just one of the issues facing our profession. I believe that other countrys license photographers based upon testing to prove skill levels why not this country. I am a graduate of photography school and I am very proud of my chosen profession. To see some stupid bimbo like this is truly insulting. I realize that not everyone has had the advantage of an education, I thank wiy wife everyday for her support both emotional and financial. I realize there are many out there who are fine photographers and don't have a degree but the really good ones go for continuing ed all the time. What ever your field is, today you must be willing to go for some sort of continuing ed to keep current. WHY NOT OUR PROFESSION???

If you need a piece of paper (license) to prove your photographic ability, you need a different profession. Your photos should do the talking.

Whatever your chosen profession is in this life, honor it by doing it to the best of your ability. The woman on this video obviously not only has no respect for the profession...she has no self respect. I guess that is truly the saddest part of all. "Humor by denigration" isn't humor it is a lack of respect.

Old Red Eye, I doubt you would go to a Dr or an Attorney who couldn't show some degree of knowledge. Why shouldn't a Professional Photographer have the same obligation. We practice an artform that dosen't mean we shouldn't be required to demonstrate by licensing (sp?) our skills. I respect the school of hard knocks but most people I know who have attained a certain level of knowledge continue to add to that knowledge with some form of continuing ed. Be it reading, seminars or gathering together with other professionals, the people who grow add to their knowledge base all the time. Again I call for some form of proof of knowledge before hanging out the Pro shingle.
