MagicMark At the Zoo

This snapshot was taken by my Mom. I'm the one sporting a camera, left (with pop up flash in the "up" position). The man on the right is my younger brother (sporting sunglasses). The giraffe is a statue that you see on the way into the zoo before seeing real giraffes.
We were at the Wyoming Mountain Zoo (in Colorado). It's a phenomenal zoo here and I highly recommend you visit it if you're ever in the area. It's a zoo on the side of a mountain. In fact, this place is soooo awesome that we stayed some 9 hours at the zoo before realizing it.

Great family photo, the giraffe statue is cool too. Tell your Mom she's a pretty good photographer.

Not far from that giraffe is a rock wall with all kinds of little stones in it. Towards the right end you might find a rock which will identify what the D is.
I agree Mark, it's a fantastic place to spend time. Which reminds me, it time to renew our membership.
And just to avoid confusion, it's the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. Been to Wyoming a few times too, so I get where that came from. Take care

Sounds good to me. I used to have a neighbor in Cali (fornia that is) that made the BEST Old Fashioneds with cheap bourbon, a couple of cherries, some sugar and a dash of orange juice and Angostura Bitters.
After two tumblers of said concoction, driving was an experience. It was a good thing that we were only about 400 yards from his door to ours.
With that said, and given my current occupation, I cannot condone drinking and driving. :hunf:

Another place to visit that is most excellent is the San Diego Zoo. I know it isn't a unique idea any longer but I believe it was the first zoo I had ever been to that built habitats rather than pretty cages for the animals.
