I'm Karla, I love photography, especially landscapes. I've been a casual photographer for a many years, I'm just now learning more about the technical aspect. Glad to be here, have seen some great shots and have learned more about the different types of cameras, which is exactly what I came here looking for.

Welcome Karla, there are quite a few people on UHH that make money selling their work which should (generally speaking) qualify their opinions as a step or two above educated guesses.

Karla - you have some good opportunities for nature photography where you live. Too bad no more shuttles blasting off in your back yard, but Sebastian Inlet is great, as is the "Viera Wetlands" which is unknown to most people other than birdwatchers. If you don't know, it is at the end of Wickham Rd (1 mile west of the rotary by the mall). You drive into the sewage treatment plant, and drive up along the dikes holding the final stages of water for aeration before it goes back into the river. Several miles around, and all sorts of alligators and water birds, especially this time of year. If you have a telephoto, it is a great spot for wildlife photography.

Welcome Karla, I am just up the road in Cocoa. I am a hobby photographer, mostly dogs as that is my major hobby and interest. At least we have a lot of interesting birding places around here and this is a good time of the year to start.

Learn to take on manual setting and post some of your work and ask for help or C & C ever post. You will learn. I did. David
