Unusual Birds in Flight!

Thought I would share a few photo's of the Heli Event I attended yesterday. If you have never attended one of these events, you owe it to yourself to go. They move like dragonflies; up, down, sideways, inverted and at speeds and motion that defy the laws of logic. The blades are turning approximately 2200 rpm's. The one photo is of a boy who is only 10 years old. He has magic fingers. These heli's are in the two to three thousand dollar range. Most of the heli's were electric with a few gas models here and there. The young excel at this, but there were a few of us old timers flying as well. Hope you enjoy. Oh, the inflight photo's were shot with a Nikon d5100, using a 70-300 non vr lens. Yes, I am saving for a vr and a faster lens as well. Accepting donations!

Thank you! I thought I got some really nice shots, considering how fast these suckers were moving! lol

Well, you seem to be doing alright with the lens you've got! Nice shots, and that upside-down flying is amazing. Always show some blade movement (as you have), otherwise the aircraft looks stationary.
