Grandchildren
For the most part, I photograph landscapes, so shooting people is new to me. A few months ago, I took these shots of my grandchildren, David, Emma (the youngest female) and their cousin, Nurim.

Well, you've got the first thing down pat ..... choose beautiful children with delightful expressions, then capture them in all their glory. Check!
Beautiful children and photos! I love the exchange on the last one...great capture!

Hi Civona, when you have such beautiful models, you cant help but take beautiful pictures. And yours are both excellent.
Rich
They are all nice images, but #1 is just about perfect. The direction of the light and the wonderful ratio of the highlight to shadow side. Great skin tone. The background has some texture, but no detail. Compared to most of what is posted here, this one image is exceptional.
Images #2 and #3 suffer from busy backgrounds, but they are still good. I like #4 because of the interaction, but #1 is the hands-down best of the lot.
Thank you, Bob....for being the first to offer a comment. And for your kind words.
Thank you for your comments, pastagal! I agree with you, that they are beautiful children, but then I'm a little prejudice! Appreciate you liking my work!
Rich....thank you for the affirmative comment! Seeing our work through the eyes of others is really rewarding!
Captain C.....I have read your comments on other peoples photos, and I learn so much from your replies!. Thank you for taking the time to comment---I appreciate the things you have pointed out (lighting, background, etc),what works and what doesn't!
4 very good shots of 3 beautiful grandchildren!
thank you, raymondh.....I appreciate positive input!!!
you see their personallities peeking through every picture, nice catch.
woman44004.....I have poured over many of your photos and love how you capture people---so your comment means a lot to me, Thanks!!

I don't think any of them need any p/p except to blur the background or to make it black. If CaptainC likes them then you know you are doing great work, and I think you are.
