AF opposed to MF.
I am new to photography I purchased a 70x300mm lense for my E= Olympus. Not long after that the AF quit working. I found it was not the camera it was the lense. Does anyone know if there a place near Atlanta that will repair my lense or am I better off with MF. I only have trouble when the object is moving. I seem to get good photography with MF Should I purchas a new lense of try to find someone to repair it.
Is the lens under warranty? If so, you should be able to contact the manufacturer directly (or check their website) for a list of authorized repair facilities. Otherwise, KEH is in Smyrna (

I thank you Snowbird for the information about Keh.com in Smyrna. They were very helpful and suggested I call Olympus. I did and found my lense to still be under warranty. They fixed it over the phone by havng me enable the AF switch that is on the lense. It had become disabled somhow. I will use Ken.com later on I am sure, they are fine people

Sorry Snowbear. That was a clerical error on me. But thanks again for the information.

Hello dimondon.. One of the UHH members here does camera and lens repair
http://www.discountcamerarepair.com You might check out his website and inquire, his opinion on your problem lens. He is located in Oregon but shipping should be no problem. Hope this helps.
