Haven't posted in a long time. I think this will be fun. More honesty and less "Your contrastless, featureless, uncomposed picture of that blank concrete block wall is just gorgeous!"

Personal preference, but I like the colors in number 3 better than the others by far. Good job of capturing the city lights at dusk, but the image might benefit if you brightened up just a bit.

Re above: all taken with 5DMK III, 24-70mm f2.8L
I like the change in the lighting, although all were taken within about an hour the difference is dramatic. I think any one could stand alone, but I'm considering a triptich.

Those are all pretty nice, Photoninja. Without downloadable files it's hard to make any constructive ideas. Looking at them the way they are one could open the shadows a bit in the buildings of no 1 and definitely open the shadows a bit on the opera house in 3.
A great addition to your portfolio,
Larry

Hey photoninja - as one of the moderators will likely mention to you shortly, the rules for this new section include a requirement to post just one image that can then be tweaked in pp, cropped etc as discussion moves along.

From what I've seen so far, it makes for some excellent critique and learning opportunities. Really sets this section apart from Photo Gallery :)

I like the warm colors of #2, though if I had to choose among the three, it'd be #3 for the prominence of the Opera House (after a bit of lightening, as suggested).

I have pm'd Photoninja and asked him to choose 2 photos to delete. He is currently offline.

I would like to see all three of these with a thread of their own. Can't wait to be able to comment. :)
