I took these 3 Fall photos on 10-17-2013 on the Coeur d' Alene River area of North Idaho. This is only about a 35 minute drive from my home in the City of Coeur d' Alene, Idaho (Pop: 46,000).
The oldest church/building in Idaho.
The Coeur d' Alene River on a bright, sunny day.
Standing on a bridge over-looking the Coeur d' Alene River.
Very nice shots!
The 2nd and 3rd pics I especially like. Magnificent colors and well lit on a beautiful fall day. I have been up north a few times but never in the fall. I guess I will have to remedy that during next year's fall season maybe! :)
Well done and thank you for sharing!
Hi Regis, welcome to UHH! #2 and 3 are beautiful. Sure looks like a lovely area. I only passed through on I-90 11 years ago, with destination Yakima. Gotta get back that direction soon :)

Beautiful area and photos. Did you notice that in the 2nd photo ths reflection was sharper than the actual landscape?

The reflection in the water on the 2nd photo is not sharper than the ground scenery on the original full sized photo.
But it does appear to be on the smaller photo. Interesting.
Thanks for looking.
I wasn't being critical, just found it interesting and either way it's a beautiful photo!
Good set Regis.Number 2 is my favourite i'ts a beautiful shot.

Thank you. All comments are welcome, good or bad. The only way a photographer can improve is to listen.

I got lucky that day. The weather was perfect with no wind so I was able to shoot that photo while there was stillness in the river water.

The area is to the north of I-90 at exit 43 (Kingston) Fortunately the river road parallels the river and there are easy pull-off parking areas. The road heads north for at least 10 miles.

I have always been told we tend to make our own luck. You went out on a beautiful day with your camera equipment. You could have left it behind and just gone for a stroll.
You had enough experience to do just what was needed to capture the greatness of the moment.. and then you did another noteworthy thing... you shared it with the members of this forum for OUR edification...
Thanks again for sharing.

I appreciate your kind remarks. My wife and I did about one mile of walking that day taking photos and enjoying the 65 degree weather and that's a big reason why I like photography. I'm a Diabetic, so exercise is very important for me to stay healthy. Fortunately we have hundreds of miles of walking trails here in this area.
Beautiful shots. Vibrant color. Very well done.
