One from last weekend. Also felt that it's not fair to comment without posting my own efforts. Here's one from a week ago. I have some concerns about contrast and maybe composition. Any and all comments welcome. And reworks are also welcome.

I think your composition is perfect. I increased ambiance, sharpness, structure, contrast and lightened the shadows a touch. Of course, any photo can be given a once over dependent on the personal tastes of the photographer.

You took a very nice landscape. 8-)

It would be interesting to see a version with the left-side yellow cloned, making the tree on right side the only bright color. Also, overall a bit darker maybe. I don't have the skills to post a different version :)

Really like the textures and line of the cliffs, with blue sky and clouds showing in just the right amount.

Ain't that the truth! I don't care as much for your sharpened cliffs (or brightened sky) as they now compete with the tree on right, which I find so interesting - shape and color (as I mentioned, especially if was the only yellow in the pic). Variations are endless, aren't they :)

charryl, this is a nice capture the histogram is like perfect. I added a little of this and that using topaz adjust 5. Hope you like it. I brought out some of the color in the rocks.

Thanks, Lens Cap. I like some of what you did. The enhanced color on the rock is great. And the enhanced blue in the sky. I prefer the trees in the original and maybe the original foreground. Everything sharp and intense is too distracting for my taste. Now if I could combine the two..... But great input. Thanks.

Thank you Bmac. I really like what you did. Lightening really helps the background. I think I might prefer the darker foreground, however. I was trying to get the eye to see the yellow and the white. I love that people like yourself can look at a photo and see what needs help. I often find that I can't see where improvements can be made in my own photos be can when viewing others. It's so odd. That's what I am working on hardest. Developing my eye so that I don't always find myself saying...why didn't I think of that?

Thanks Linda. I feel that you take photography very seriously. I like that about your comments very much. Keep at your own photography....the skills will come. I look back on what I was doing a few years ago and wish I could step back in time and have a number of re-dos. I am sure that in a few years I will be thinking the same thing about the work I am doing now. But I just love it.

Your composition - light time - color saturation revives the memory of viewing in person.
