Pansies against a red brick wall

This is not a new photo; however, I'd much appreciate a fresh take on it. I suspect, among other things that there is a bit too much going on :)

Sorry I no longer have the uncropped original. Feel free to re-post with your changes, if applicable. Thanks!

Hey Linda, while I love your work and have admired how much it has changed since you have been here I am not a fan of this one. Conceptually it is good, but looks like it may have been taken at the wrong time of day as the flowers are burned out. The shadow throws me and to be honest am unsure what you are trying to say. Please do not take this the wrong way, I think you are on the right track, but like you said I think there is too much going on. Sorry I couldn't offer more. Steve

I love urban flowers they brighten city life. First I cropped it to have the shadow fall top left to bottom right, second I added more contrast, third I added a warmer tone, Fourth I pumped up the saturation to make the flowers pop! I thought the other stuff was distracting, but that's me.

While the flowers are still blown out I love this example that much more as it really brings the subject into focus. Great job!

Thank you! I like that you kept the flowers off-center, too.

It's the strangest thing, Steve. I have liked this photo for a long time, but as soon as I posted it, I somehow saw through different eyes and realized it was nothing special :) Thank you kindly for your input.

It is amazing how we can invest ourselves in our photos, but once give them to the world we see them in a different light.
Please know I meant no offense and really do love your work. Steve
