Just a quick post to inform Newbies of the Underwater Photography Forum.
This pic taken by a dive buddy who shot me shooting the Manta
good capture.. but should put check mark in store original so we can make bigger...
Your buddy did good. Used to live near and dive the Fingerlakes in NY but only one ocean and some spring dives down here. Viz was horrible in the NY lakes. ;-)

JR1, tried posting a few on the main page and got shooed off months ago by someone insisting I use the Underwater forum, that most members, especially Newbies aren't aware .. Leaving for the Solomon Islands in a couple days and will post a few to entice UHH to visit the Underwater forum.
Would think that there would be a separate forum for birds, sunsets, etc., but just enjoying the website, learning more about above water photography as I mature and the days of strong currents and 24 hour plane trips leave me behind.
Will try to remember to check that off if folks want to take a better view of the undersea world.

OK, will post a few for those who enjoy a different world with a different set of challenges with manual settings, limited ambient light, and some fantastic colors

What underwater forum? I didn't realise that there were any other forums (fora?) other than the main photography forum. How to I get to other forums?
Love your pic. I dive often at Lady Elliott island off the coast of Queensland, which is a haven for Mantas-- magic!!!

Very nice job. Do you have the picture of the Manta that you took, while your friend was photographing you? I would enjoy seeing the two perspectives.
