These old water towers were iconic throughout Texas in the past, but more and more have been torn doen and replaced with more modern and larger, concrete structures. I miss them.

I remember the towns water tower too, kids climbing it to paint names on the top to prove their manhood ( or stupidity )
Small town in Oklahoma right off I-40 had 2 water towers ,1 had cold painted on it and the other said hot. Not sure if those are still standing or not.

Ha! A very nice water tower picture but I had to do a double take and laugh because I used to have a favorite water tower around here too!
