Rusting anchor chain

Walking the beach, this rusty anchor or mooring chain looked interesting. Light was a little harsh. I think exposure and focus are satisfactory. Looking at the image now I wonder if it is interesting and of some merit or is it nothing more than a snapshot of some rusty stuff? I am open to critical review on this one.

This is my third attempt to submit the image. Keep getting an error message. I suppose I will bet some good remarks on the non-image that is currently available.

Yes. Following same routine as with other submissions. Have tried 5-6 times, lost count. Keeping getting an error message that the site is not available. I have had this problem on a couple of prior occasions.
Will try to post later this evening and see what happens. In the meantime I will continue to gather a lot of humorous comments which should brighten everyone's day.

UHH limits JPGs to less than 10mb. You may need to re-size a large image.

It was a very large file (26.3MB). Re-sized down to less than 10 MB.

Here is another piece of rusting anchor chain.
Any thoughts to improve. Composition is not that great in my
opinion. But that is why I am asking for input.

Here is a quick process to bring more detail out, used nik silver effects pro then over layed with softblend also took the sand with a layer mask back to B&W. spent 1 minute on it so not close to being a good selection. I might have tried a much lower angle as far as composition having the camera almost in the sand.

I like both of the adjusted images. I like the cropped version somewhat better. Color seems to be a little different, but this may be screen variations.
Second adjustment seems to be a little better also.
So guys, do we have a snapshot or a worthwhile image.
Choose between #1, mine: #2, cropped, #3, adjusted.
Then we can consider my subsequent rusty chain #2. I took these two pictures quite some time apart. There are three or four areas along the beach with pieces of chain like this.
Appreciate the time and effort that others put forth to make this a worthwhile photo growth and improvement site. We all benefit as we bring out bits of the recipe to the table. We are going to eventually make a fantastic cake out of all the bits and pieces. Nothing is unimportant in making the best cake possible.

Next time that you post an image, check the box labeled "(store original)". This will allow fellow HedgeHoggers to manipulate the original image, not just the thumbnail posted.

I have a quite different photo of a rusty chain. May I upload to your thread?

I like the idea of presenting a challenge by working on a thumbnail for you guys that are good at this stuff. Just kidding. I will try to remember to check the store original box in future. If you would like to have me re-post the photo with original let me know.

You are welcome to post yet another rusty chain. Hopefully we will all gain a little more knowledge.

I am a macro-photographer, so this is a bit smaller than your chain.
