Has anyone had experience with Roberts Camera in Indianapolis. They are a highly rated Ebay seller. Am looking at buying refurbished Nikon D5100 and 2 lens package from them on Ebay. Would appreciate any feedback you can give me before I do.

I have bought locally from them as I live in the area of Indianapolis. They are a very reputable company and have two stores in this area. I like the fact that I can go in the store and see what I am buying and also get the feel of it also. I would rather pay the sale tax than to go to Ebay or Amazon to save the sales tax and not be satisfied or not get what I thought I was getting.

I bought a used film camera from them on ebay a few months ago. I am satisfied my purchase.

I have been to the Roberts store several times. They all seem friendly and helpful. They do have quite a bit of used equipment for sale. I got a really good deal on a large used ball head. Nice place to browse.

Thanks all. Appreciate the feedback on Roberts Camera. And thanks JR1 for reminding me about the search function. I forget it's there. After reading all your inputs, I'm anxious for a trip to/through Indianapolis so I can visit Roberts.

I live 45 minutes to the north of the Carmel store. I purchased my first digital camera from them. Also, a used 24-70 L lens, numerous filters, boxes of photo paper, and books. Yes, I would highly recommend Robert's to you for your photo needs. Do not see any problem, at all, with the refurb lens. I have a friend that did just that last year and she is very happy w/ the purchase. Terry

About a month ago I bought from them a refurbished D5100 with kit lens for an awesome price (100 bucks less than everyone else). It was through ebay as well. No complaints here! Great companion camera to my D7000!

I bought a D7000 factory refurb from them. Quick delivery, great packaging. The camera had fewer than 30 shutter actuations. Gave $646 and they paid the freight. I like them and would buy again.
