A 1944 Liberty Half Silver Dollar given to me, by my Grandmother years ago. It's seen better days.
First image 109 shot focus stack.
Second image 55 image focus stack.
Shot at f8, 1/200, ISO100, 1:1.3
I wanted to compare signs of focus bands at .25mm increments on the first image and .5mm increments on the second image.

Looks good to my eye. A suggestion if I may. If you use a BG that is a bit darker than the subject it might be easier in the process.
You seem to really to be getting into the stacking. I do not know your finances but are you familiar with this? I plan to pick up one sometime in the near future.

Yes I was looking at the website last week, but I'm going to wait and see what develops as far as my interests go before investing any more...
I have the trial of the "Control my Nikon", that will do auto focus stacks, by adjusting the lens focus. Not sure how accurate or good it is for macro, maybe good for close-ups?
