don't know the answer but it seems that there a lot of problems happening with people using the card to do their downloads.I personally use a cord and download directly to the computer from the camera. I'm doing that with 2 cameras and so far no problems. your card should have had the images still on the card even after download. And if you did take them off how are you trying to return them?

To Move Photos From An Media Card To A PC
- Use the supplied camera to computer cable, or
- Remove the card from the camera insert into the card reader
- Open the folder on the card where you photos are stored
- Move your photos to a folder on your computer
- Post process, share or enjoy them as you like

You should be able to go to your folder, click on the images that you want, copy and drop "paste" into the card .You should be able to find it in the computer as removable disc

Take some photos and copy them to your computer
While you are look at the folder you are copying from
Now copy photos back into the same folder

As a side, depending on the post processing software you use make sure you are copying RAW or JPG photos back to your camera. Other formats may not work.

Some cameras will NOT recognize pictures put back on a card from a computer. It has to do with the way the camera sets up the indexing, etc. It might work if you try putting it back on with the card in the camera and connected to the computer by cable. However, don't count on it.

The only way to view images in camera that have been transferred from the computer would be to put them in the cameras shooting folder on the card. Simply putting them on the cards root directory does not allow the camera to locate them for display. Also, if that image has undergone some PP work it may still be unrecognizable to the camera even if placed in its shooting folder.

The pictures have to be placed in a folder and that folder has to go into the DCIM folder on the card

First off, downloading SD card content to PC should not remove the pictures from the SD card !
Secondly, keep messing with your SD card and you will corrupt it beyond repair at some point in time !

Adding to what MT said, my experience has been that if any processing done at all, camera will not read it.

Remember that the camera doesn't have the brains of a full-blown computer. It'll only do what the developers of the camera's firmware have programmed it to do. If none of the above suggestions work, contact the camera maker. They might know the right secret incantation.

Format the card in the camera, put it back into the computer, and copy those images to the card. Then see if the camera can display them. That might work.

No, that's not going to work. I just spent some time experimenting.

OK. Got it. Format the card in the camera, put it into the computer, view the contents, and you'll find a folder for pictures. Open that folder and copy pictures from the computer into that folder. Put the card back into the camera, and you'll be able to see the files you just transferred.

Yes, I just tried that. If it's been processed, the camera won't read it.
