Cam Ranger and Helicon

Have any of you used Cam Ranger and Helicon's "Focus" software?
Have Cam Ranger, and I do like it (in fact I can't wait for their adjustable rack to come out, saw it at PDN), but want to get into fine Macro shooting with great DOF. Are there other options?
Thank you.

I use my CamRanger with an iOptron Skytracker to take long exposures of the night sky. Great! Now I have to check out Helicon Focus and the adjustable rack on my way to bankruptcy.

Not sure what "cam ranger" does, but have heard very good things about Helicon focus. There is a free focus stacking software that is ok, but of course, the one that cost money is probably the best. Combine ZM, if you'd like to play around.

I know nothing of Cam Ranger. I have and use Helicon Focus-- which has two primary uses: focus stacking and stitching for panoramas.

I use Helicon Filter 5 for mostly noise reduction, and sharpening. Great little program.
